I’m very excited about Children of Fire: I’ve been working on this off and on for the past decade, sneaking little bits and pieces of time when I wasn’t busy working on games or writing my Star Wars or Mass Effect novels. Eventually, I realized that to do it right I needed to concentrate full time on the epic tale I was telling, which is a big part of the reason I retired from BioWare.
I honestly believe this trilogy is the best thing I’ve ever written. I’ve tried to capture the wonder of fantasy authors like Tolkien, Terry Brooks and GRRM. But as much as I love fantasy, I find that much of it is too “fat”. The books are massive tomes, with lots of extraneous information. For Children of Fire, I’ve written the style of fantasy I want to read. No poetry, no chapters where the only thing I describe is the food on the table at a feast, no parts where people wander aimlessly through the forest marvelling at the beauty of every tree and stream.
That’s not who I am, and I usually skim those parts when I get to them in a novel. I’m all about action and characters and conflict, and Children of Fire reflects that. Even though Children of Fire is the longest book I’ve ever written (500 pages), I’ve kept my sense of pacing and flow – let’s call it “action fantasy”. Okładka wygląda naprawdę zachęcająco, podobnie jak opis (wynika z niego że to prosta, przeepicka powieść) i nazwisko autora. Karpyshyn rules!

Z całą pewnością kupię ją jak ukaże się u nas. Mam nadzieję że będzie chociaż w połowie tak dobra jak jego SW i ME .gif)
A tymczasem czekam na "SWTOR:Annihilation/Zagładę" - to już tylko 5 dni do premiery (o ile Amber znowu nic nie zawali...!!!)
